Lakeland Empowering Athletes Program (LEAP)
In Touch Football & Sport Science
The mission of LEAP is to be a place of learning, where all members of our school community aspire to excel in a culture that nurtures and promotes engagement for future success.
“Empowering athletes, Igniting futures”
This specialist program provides students with unparalleled opportunities to learn and excel in physical education and sport science, and preparation for future success in related industries. With state-of-the-art facilities, industry connections, academic resources and expertise; students will develop and perfect a variety of skills and knowledge.
Imagine a world where children not only excel academically, but also become the best version of themselves physically. This vision aligns with research showing that participation in sports contributes to holistic development. It’s not just about grades; it’s about nurturing well-rounded individuals who thrive both mentally and physically.

What we offer:
Academic Brilliance
- This program combines both the academic and athletic aspects of sport science and physical education.
Cutting-edge facilities
- Provides students with innovative resources to perform at their best.
Industry Connections
- Our network of industry professionals extends far beyond the classroom. Students will be able to collaborate with professionals and learn from experts to help carve their paths to success.
Unique Coursework
- Our creative curriculum helps students to perfect their critical thinking and imagination through solving real-world puzzles and participating in extraordinary activities.
LEAP Promotes:
Teamwork and commitment
- Sports teach teamwork, collaboration, and commitment—essential skills that extend beyond the field or court. When students learn to work together effectively, they carry these skills into their careers.
Physical health and mental wellbeing
- Regular physical activity positively impacts mental health. Engaging in sports reduces stress, anxiety, and depression.
Leadership and resilience
- Sports provide opportunities for leadership development. Captains, team leaders, and role models emerge from the playing field. These leadership qualities translate into career success.
Networking and social skills
- Effective communication is vital for organizational performance. In sports, athletes learn to communicate with teammates, coaches, and opponents. These interpersonal skills are transferable to professional settings.
Goal setting and achievements
- Sports teach goal setting, discipline, and perseverance. Athletes work hard to improve their skills, break personal records, and achieve victories. These same principles apply to academic and career goals.
