"The School of Choice"

Lakeland Senior High School is an Independent Public School.

From the Principal

In 2011 the Minister of Education announced that Lakeland Senior High School would become an Independent Public School.  The school’s selection for this status was made by an independent panel, based upon selection criteria and in competition with 196 other schools.

A major school goal is to become the school of choice for the majority of youth living in the district.  In working towards this goal the school has excelled in many areas, won awards and developed programs that engender success.
